Our one day silent mindfulness meditation retreats are ideal for coaches, counsellors, therapists, professionals and those who work or have other commitments at weekends. The days take place in the beautiful village called Newtown Linford in the heart of ancient Charnwood forest.
Although these are silent retreats there will be short simple and practical teachings from Suryacitta in the Kuti (Meditation space) with time for questions but all other times outside of the Kuti will be in silence.

SILENT MEDITATION RETREATS
Mindfulness is listening, but not only with the ears. Mindfulness is learning to listen with the heart, with the intuition and with your whole being. When we are present and able to listen in this way there is no room for our own mental chatter, and then the world comes alive, not the world made of our thoughts, opinions and judgments.
During these day retreats there will be simple, short and practical teachings from Suryacitta. He will bring in profound teachings from his decades of Buddhist practice and make them accessible to all and relevant to everyday life.
There will be short meditations punctuated with open periods for walking, relaxing, reading or drinking tea.
It is also suitable for teachers of mindfulness who wish to explore the subtleties of mindfulness for themselves.

What they say
“I really enjoyed your real and down to earth approach. I was able to fully engage with every week and to deepen my peace with life and the challenges presented. I am also enjoying the ride rather than looking for the finish line.”
