Weekend And One Day Meditation Retreats 

Our weekend silent meditation retreats (you can opt to attend both or just one day) are suitable for those with at least 3 months experience of meditation practice. Situated just a three minute walk away from the beautiful Bradgate Deer Park, why not take this stunning opportunity and come and enjoy a quiet weekend in rural Leicestershire? The Teacher 
Suryacitta will be leading this retreat. He has over 30 years experience of practising meditation and over 24 years of teaching. He spent 5 years living and teaching in a meditation retreat centre. He teaches meditation retreats and mindfulness courses in the UK, Europe and Australia. He is known for his understanding of the subtleties of meditation and how it transforms an individual. He has authored five books on the subject of meditation, mindfulness and happiness.

Silent Meditation Retreat 

What Will Happen 
 
The meditation retreat is a very simple format. There will be short meditations followed by open period of practice for walking, sitting quietly, drinking tea or just enjoying our beautiful garden. These will be punctuated with teachings from Suryacitta. In the meditation space there will be time for questions and discussion on any aspect of life and meditation. 
 
Outside of the meditation space there will be silence to allow teachings to be absorbed and to aid reflection and relaxation. 
 
There will be breaks and lunch will be provided for the in-person option 

Silent Mindfulness Retreat 

 
Please be aware that the weekend retreats are mainly silent. . It is for people with at least 3 months experience of meditation. If you don't have 3 months experience but feel ready to attend please contact us. 
 
The format for the weekend retreats are very simple. There will be short 20 minutes sitting meditations then 20 minutes of open practice - to stretch your legs, to sit quietly in our beautiful garden, to drink tea or Lunch and snacks will be provided. Teaching and guidance will be given. 
 
A silent meditation retreat allows us to take time out from our busy lives and to rest, and to focus ourselves on our meditation practice. 
 
For those attending our meditation weekends in person from afar, we can provide you with details of local accommodation upon booking. These consist of a range of local hotels, Airbnbs and B&Bs which are available to book for two or three nights, all within short distance of the retreat. Our retreats allow you to hear teachings which assist in greater understanding of yourself, life and meditation. Our retreats also allow you to step outside of your often busy life and to slow down and relax.
