Mindfulness Tasters Mindfulness Courses - 2 day intensives
The Taster
We offer two hour introduction to mindfulness sessions for anybody wanting to learn, or for those wanting to refresh their existing practice. However, no prior experience is ncessary to attend. During these mindfulness sessions there will be teaching from Suryacitta or Gaynor along with guided meditations. You will learn how to meditate and to establish a regular practice, along with tools and techniques to calm anxious thoughts, soothe difficult emotions and learn to let go of overthinking about past and future.
The mindfulness taster sessions are informal and run in a relaxed manner. All cushions or chairs are provided.
The venue is The Kuti - meditation space. The Kuti is situated in the beautiful village of Newtown Linford, nestled in the heart of Charnwood forest. Come along and include a walk in beautiful Brdagate Deer Park just two minute walk from our venue.
Is it suitable for me?
It is suitable for you if you want to 'dip your toe" into the world of mindfulness to see if it resonates with you. It is suitable if you want to learn the basics of mindfulness meditation and some tools and techniques to help with anxiety and other troublesome experiences.
The Introductory Mindfulness Course
If you have a little knowledge or experience of mindfulness meditation, or you want to just jump in and learn everything you need then this teo day course is for you .
The 2 day mindfulness course Leicester will be run by Suryacitta Malcolm Smith, one of the most experienced teachers in the UK. He has taught many 100s of people over the last 30 years.
How the course will be taught:
Suryacitta is renowned for keeping the teaching simple, practical and relevant to peoples everyday lives. He includes stories, images, anecdotes and metaphors in his teaching.
During the two days there will be teaching input, guided meditations and plenty of time for questions and discussion. You will be able to apply simple and effective tools and techniques in your own lives. By practicing you will see how mindfulness can help you in your daily life - enhancing your relationships, your work and every other area of your life.

It is suitable for beginners and those wanting to refresh their meditation practice. It is also suitable for any health, social care and wellbeing professional wishing to progress onto the teacher training programme.
